Please read it carefully

Plan Your Iceland Trip (PYIT) offers a variety of tours, packages and services (“products”) through its website. These are all tours that are operated by third party subcontractors and we are solely a re-seller of other companies´ services. 

The Term & Condition contain legal obligations and we encourage you to read them carefully. 

The purchase of any service offered by PYIT constitutes a contractual arrangement between the person making the booking and third party. A purchase also represents acceptance of PYIT´s Terms & Conditions.

Please ensure that you understand and read the Terms & Conditions carefully prior to booking.All bookings made online require full payment at the time of booking. PYIT accepts Visa and MasterCard, if you have other cards we can help you arrange and book the trip but the payment would need to be done up on arrival. After your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email informing your requested tour has been made, and it also include vouchers for purchased services. Please print this document and bring it along to Iceland as this will be your proof of payment and to be used as a voucher in your excursion. Please check all details on your confirmation carefully to ensure they are exactly as you requested. In the event of discrepancy, please contact us (PYIT) as soon as at your convenience as it may not be possible to make changes later.


PYIT disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness that occur in or related to event booked by/through PYIT. PYIT also disclaims responsibility for changes in schedules that cause by weather conditions, strikes or any other irregularity outside of PYIT´s control. PYIT reserves the right to alter itineraries, departures times without prior notice, should the necessity arise. In case of changes, such as tour cancellation and departure time. We would like to ask our guests to have it in mind that the weather in Iceland usually changeable and it makes it even harder to predict, therefore we would have to make sudden changes of the itinerary and ask our guests for patience and understanding in those cases.

Payments and validity of prices

All rates shown on PYIT´s website are rates from our suppliers and we reserve the right to correct or change them accordingly to possible changes from tour operators. The rates that are listed on the website are displayed in Icelandic krona (ISK) and are per person, if there is any special conditions we will clarify it. All bookings are made on planyouricelandtrip.com, require a full payment with credit card at the time of booking. The website accepts Visa & MasterCard.

Insurance and health care

Please note that individual travel insurance is not included in the tour prices. Therefore it is important that clients introduce themselves and arrange for their own travel insurance before visiting Iceland. Medical assistance and health care is however, readily available in Iceland. Residents of EEA member countries should not forget to bring their European Health insurance card (EHIC).

Cancellation policy

All cancellations must be made by letter or e-mail and confirmed by PYIT. Cancellation is confirmed when in conformity with business practices within the Icelandic travel industry, Plan Your Iceland Trip is entitled to charge cancellation fees to clients as following:

  • More than 15 days prior to arrival               up to 15%
  • Less than 7 days                                              up to 50%
  • Less than 3 days                                              up to 100%

We will however only charge as much as our sub-vendors charge us and we´ll try to make your loss as little as possible.


You accept that PYIT acts as a booking agent for third party vendors and accepts no liability for the acts or omissions of those third party vendors.

Jurisdiction and applicable law

This agreement shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising out or in connection with this agreement shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in Iceland, i.e. Reykjavik.
